Hats Off Challenge

This hat is fabulous. Perfect shape and colour for spring. the green ribbon and pink and orange feathers are perfect toppers. Very elegant!

This hat inspired me to create a necklace but orange isn't a colour I use often . However ,for some reason ,I have a lot of orange beads!! It's not as elegant as this hat but hopefully you'll agree that it picked up on the colour palette. please let me know in the comments. I really struggled with this colour combination!

This lilac hat is stunning and needs very little jewelry to adorn it. Simple pearls or diamonds would be the choice of most but I'd like to add a little fun with my flower earrings!!! What do you think?

That's all for my reveal in the Hats Off Challenge hosted by Bobbie  of Beadsong Jewelry. This was a great idea for jewelry inspiration and I can't wait to see what everyone has created.

  2. Pink and orange are not colors I would normally put together, but it does work! I do really love the simplicity of the earrings, and match the hat so perfectly!

  3. You did a wonderful job with orange. I struggle with orange, its a color I love but every time I try to use it, it looks awful. Your necklace is bright, cheerful and has great flow. The earrings are perfect, elegant and simple. What a lovely sense of style you have!

  4. I love them both! That orange hat seems to have been an inspiration for lots of us, and I like the way you met the challenge of the color combination. The necklace is beautiful! And the earrings are such a sweet compliment to the lilac hat -- a perfectly ladylike accent to the classic hat. Thanks for being part of the challenge!

  9. Hi Nan,
I think that you did a wonderful job on the first necklace there is a subtle difference in the dark and light orange beads that really make the necklace glow. The flower earrings are so sweet and pretty and compliment the lavender hat so well.

  15. I like the way you paired the sunny orange and raspberry in your necklace-very sophisticated. And your earrings would be much more attention-grabbing on that model than the pair she is sporting! Divine with that hat!!
